Your Fitness Connection offers seniors’ exercise classes through the Staying Strong Senior Fitness Program! These classes are also work well for those new to exercise, or returning after a long break.

Staying Strong Class Schedule

Staying Strong classes are available for any member to attend, and offer varying exercise levels from beginner to advanced.

Monday and Wednesday

Staying Strong Stability and Strength
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to improve muscle strength, range of motion and activties for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing and a rubber bouncy ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated exercises and standing support. This class can be adapted by the student depending on their fitness level and abilities. It is suitable for beginning to intermediate skill levels.

Staying Strong Cardio Interval
The interval workout offers standing, low-impact choreography alternated with standing upper-body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing and a rubber bouncy ball. A chair is available for support. This class is suitable for nearly every fitness level and can be adapted depending on the skill of individual participants.

Staying Strong Yoga
Gentle sequences of yoga poses both seated and standing that help improve flexibility, range of motion, and balance. Finish with restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation.
